Answers to some common questions we receive. Contact us for more information or a tour.
What if my child has a food or environmental allergy?
All the teachers and admin staff at Future Foundations are Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certified. With this in mind, we are prepared to handle a medical crisis, if one should arrive. Our lunches are catered in and can accommodate most food allergies with a doctor’s note on file. Regarding severe allergies, we will keep Epi-Pens or any other allergy related medication in a locked cabinet up front for use if necessary.
What does my child do if the weather does not permit outside activity (i.e. rain, snow, excessive heat)?
Here at Future Foundations, we are fortunate enough to have multiple areas to explore outside the classroom environment. Along with our playground, we have an indoor gym and a library for kids! Our gym features climbers, basketball hoops, and an activities closet full of toys including scooters, hockey, bowling, tunnels, parachutes, corn hole, and much more! The library is full of books for students of all ages and has quiet activities such as puzzles, bead tracks, and a felt story board. Both are available to all our classes during their scheduled outside time in case of inclement weather.
Does Future Foundations offer anything extra for their kids?
One of the things we are most excited about in our center is our indoor gym! With having an extra gym space, we are able to host extracurricular activities such as Soccer Shots, All Star Sports, and Kinderdance. These are events run by non-affiliated companies that we are fortunate enough to host. See our Parent Area for more details regarding these events.
How do you keep parents up to date on their kid’s daily activities or behavior?
Open communication between teachers and parents is something we strive for as a center and to that, we use an app called Tadpoles Educators to keep in contact with our families and provide daily reports on a student’s day. Each of our classrooms is equipped with an iPad to record every child’s daily activities, including diapers, meals, naps, and daily curriculum. As a parent/guardian, you can download the Tadpoles Parent app to your phone, sign up using the email provided during enrollment, and you will receive daily reports at the end of the day. Tadpoles also supports an instant message feature that allows you to talk one on one with our teachers during the day!
